This basic issue pace counter is ideal for anyone that wants to measure their pace. Modeled after the ones used by the Army Rangers, this pace counter is easy to use and small enough to carry anywhere. First, find out what your actual pace count is to 100 meters. Next, pull both sets of beads up as far as possible. For every hundred meters you walk, you pull down a bottom bead. When all the beads are pulled down, you've reached 900 meters, walk another 100 meters and slide all the bottom beads back to the top, you've reached 1000 meters (1 km), so pull down a top bead. Repeat process until you've reached 5000 meters. This gives you a pretty accurate account of how far you've gone. Keep pace just like the Rangers!
